Brad obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Cleveland State University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from A.T. Still University.  Brad is also a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy is an Advance Credentialed Exercise Expert for Aging Adults.  He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Missouri Physical Therapy Association, and the APTA Geriatrics Section.  He has presented at the Missouri Physical Therapy Association state conference.  He is pleased to be part of the faculty for the Credentialed Advanced Exercise Expert for Aging Adults through the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy.  Look for course announcements for 2022 & 2023 here! 

Brad founded Mobile Physical Therapy in 2005 after working with clients who were unable to get to outpatient therapy clinics for one reason or another.  This could be due to chronic mobility, health and transportation issues.  Mobile Physical Therapy is now a team of physical therapists dedicated to providing evidence based physical therapy house calls to older adults in the Greater Saint Louis area.

He has enjoyed working in multiple therapy settings including outpatient orthopedics and neuro, business health, acute in-patient, long term acute care, wound care, spinal cord and brain injury rehab, and ventilator dependent units.  Brad has also worked as a physical therapist for a metropolitan school district serving ages 3-21.

 

His favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is "working with all types of people in all types of situations and figuring out ways to help them achieve their goals.  Every client, family, and the situation is a little different and I am always learning something new from the people I work with."

Brad loves animals, hiking, competing in sprint triathlons, camping, and traveling.  If he wasn’t a physical therapist, he would be an entomologist. Brad resides in the Lafayette Square area of Saint Louis.

JULIE ASHCROFT, PT, MSPT

Julie obtained her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University.  She is a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults, and is also a 20+ year member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

 

Julie’s brings a wide range of experience to her personalized care, including multiple years as a Home Health Physical Therapist, an Aquatic Physical Therapist, and as an insurance authorization specialist for therapy, equipment, and rehab, for two local organizations.  Her favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is enhancing each unique person’s life by creating improved mobility and activity, with creative and personalized ways.

 

Julie enjoys working on projects in her home and yard, including a vegetable garden! She loves traveling, has spent time living outside the United States, and wishes she could travel more often.  Julie likes to stay active and involved in her community.  One of her greatest accomplishments includes running the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis, twice!  Julie also loves living in the historic Dogtown neighborhood of Saint Louis City.

ANNE SHANNON, PT

Anne obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Maryville University with a Science minor. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, a Pelvic Floor Therapist and a Certified Pilates Instructor.  Anne also owns her own business which focuses on oncology patient referrals, services include complete decongestive therapy including manual lymphatic drainage massage, manual therapy, and myofascial treatments.

 

Anne’s experience includes working for Mercy Hospital as a Physical Therapist/Certified Lymphedema Therapist in the Holistic Health department outpatient facility. She has taken on roles as a traveling physical therapist with assignments in California, Georgia, Colorado and St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Anne has participated in a Transcultural Studies in Healthcare course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with emphasis on examining a holistic approach to healing. Her favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is helping clients improve their mobility and achieve their most active lifestyle possible.

 

Anne is an avid exercise partaker and enthusiast!  She enjoys variety of outdoor sports activities year-round including paddle-boarding and snowboarding.  She loves to travel and go “glamping”.  Anne and her family live in Webster Groves.

KAREN BROWN, PT

Karen obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University. She has over 32 years of dedicated experience in the geriatric field in direct patient care, management, supervision and compliance. 

Karen’s experience has focused on long-term care facilities, ensuring high standards of competent care for a wide variety of orthopedic patients, neurological patients, and geriatric patients. Her favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is her belief that they are a “bunch of kids that have lived their lives and have as much to teach us as we have to teach them.” Her passion to attend PT school began when her older brother and older sister both became physical therapists, “I liked what I saw and heard and was interested to do the same”.

Karen’s interests include watching her two daughters play soccer, traveling, reading and spending time with family. Karen and her family live in Wildwood.

BRYANT SCHWEERS, PT, DPT, COMT

Bryant obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Concordia University in Nebraska and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University.

 

Bryant has nearly 8 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy settings here in Saint Louis and across the country, from New England to the Pacific Northwest, as a traveling physical therapist. He incorporates a calm and steady, focused approach while working with his patients and feels that therapy needs to be a collaborative endeavor with his patients. He is also a certified orthopedic manual therapist. His favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is connecting individually with patients in order to understand their goals and help to achieve them.

 

Bryant is a Colorado native, was a scholar football athlete in college and enjoys hiking, camping, yoga, and enjoying the splendor of the natural world. His interests include collecting music, learning to play the bass guitar, drawing, and reading a good novel.

He and his family live in the South Hampton area of Saint Louis.

JERLINE TUGGLE, PT, MSPT

Jerline obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University in Saint Louis and her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware.  She is well-traveled and well-educated! 

 

Jerline has over 30 years of varied history in the field of physical therapy.  Her experience includes managing physical therapy departments in nursing homes, home health and managing teams of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists in rehabilitation facilities.

 

Her favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is when patients achieve their goals. Jerline likes seeing patients smile when a task has been mastered!

 

Her interests include ministry, reading, traveling and getting to know my patients.

Jerline resides in Saint Charles.

KATHARINE NEVILLE, PT, DPT

Katharine obtained a series of degrees from Saint Louis University; Bachelor of  Science in Exercise Science (Summa Cum Laude), Master of Physical Therapy with a Psychology minor, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  She served as a member of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty at Saint Louis University, and has supervised students as a clinical instructor at various times during her career. 

 

Katharine has over 16 years of physical therapy experience at outpatient and rehab facilities. Katharine has extensive exposure in dealing with brain and spine conditions, having worked closely with psychiatrists and neurosurgeons. 

 

Her favorite things about geriatric physical therapy are spending one-on-one time with patients, getting to know them and their needs, and helping them achieve their goals.

 

Katharine's interests include spending time with her two boys, spending time with family and friends and traveling to a variety of places on vacation. Katharine and her family reside in Eureka.

JANET WOOD, MBA

Janet holds an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant degree, a Bachelor of Arts in HealthCare Management degree and a Master of Business Administration degree.

 

Janet has held various positions in the healthcare industry for over 22 years ranging from Pharmacy Technician to Occupational Therapy Assistant. However, her most rewarding position was as an Intake Specialist at Memory Care Home Solutions. Her favorite thing about geriatric physical therapy is that it helped her grandfather regain his mobility after having four strokes. She understands the importance and the benefit of physical therapy in the geriatric population.

 

Janet enjoys traveling and spending time with family. Janet and her family live in Florissant.

Gary obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance (Cum Laude) from Wayne State College, in Wayne, Nebraska. He is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.

 

Gary has occupied various positions in the business finance arena including staff auditor with KPMG, and held manager, controller and CFO roles in the construction and manufacturing industries.  He has over 37 years of experience in managing and directing accounting, human resource and IT departments with responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, cash management, employee benefits, IT systems and commercial insurance functions.

 

Gary supports animal rescue organizations and is a dog lover.  He enjoys running, traveling, camping, and promoting and protecting the environment.  He has completed four marathons! Gary resides in the Lafayette Square area of Saint Louis.
